gifts

justine recently came back from Aberdeen, and en-route there, she stopped by Amsterdam thus i asked her to get me a bottle of happy-drink while she was supposed to wait for her connecting flight from the city where-almost-nothing-is-illegal.

a fresh new bottle of the drink that connect us all! (so-called la)
erm would be saving it for ruben this time around, and yenhou too since im supposed to owe him for his 21st. lols.

this is the stuff that brought happy moments like this:

this:

and RARE moments like these:

all thanx to this, its called the "green fairy" for a reason!

that was what i bought back from Prague 4months ago.

quote ellie " *with an innocent tone* you could see green FAIRIES after drinking it..!  "

to another thing, we attended the Unplugged night hosted by Campuscity in InCafe ss15 (the one opposite taylors, where you can get coney dogs from a place other than A&W). the live bands were really good, especially Mia palencia. for those of you who dont know her yet, shes one of malaysia's rising talent la, big voice, and can sing LIVE. lotsa hoo-haa during the night that she is more worthy than our beloved botak Mawi to potray the national hero image.

am supposed to upload a video of her singing from youtube, all her songs are good, i like the medley she performed as her last song, but the girl that was given the responsibility to upload it apparently has NOT done so! what a con, she actually raised her hand when the veejays asked for a volunteer to upload the vids taken to youtube; and she got a free Mia cd for the deed. if she has, then is my bad, i tak dapat cari the link la.. would be looking forward to listen to that medley again :)

no videos, pics boleh lah:

thats Mia with her guitar and her sister sassy (or is it tassie?) to her right. it was an impromptu performance for her sister. her brother was there too, 13 years old but damn lengchai already, and CAN sing too. didnt get any shots of him so im sorry ya girls.

side-stage: ellie and one of the joker veejay, i forgotten his name, but he has a cute t-shirt. hmmm.

she didnt look as excited as she should be eh? apa boleh buat, that budak woke up at 7am and stood almost the whole day to prepare for the event, i think she was in charge of the flow and performances for the night. dinner at 12am? i wonder how she tak pengsan. lagipun majority of the night lari sana sini saja. lols. anyway, it was a really good night out, all things went well kua, you deserve a *pet* on the head  :D

AND girl, you ought to be like this more often:

hahaha.

ohya, i have yet to figure out how to pay 25euros for the absinth to justine. any kind donations in the form of leftover Euros?

taas.  btw i have yet to watch Stardust..

randomness

what do you do when there is a dried dead tree lying around your house?

its too big to fit in the tong sampah, or rather the garbage men wont even bother to remove it for you.

so you hack in into smaller pieces with a saw.

and then use it to do something unusual to the modern world such as this:

yes yes, that is our dinner for yesterday, woodfired chicken wings! the goodness of standard bbq-ed taste + smoked flavour (think smoked salmon).

and yes, that is a flowerpot we used. haha, it actually held up and did not break into pieces by the heat of the fire. who needs a proper metal pit now? you just need to figure where to dump the plant and soil that occupies the pot first.

we ventured further and bbq bananas too. tips for those of you who wants to try this: cook it real long until the whole thinggy turns totally BLACK. the blacker outside, the nicer it is inside, taste like those pisang in roti-pisang from your mamak, softer and sweeter. you need to peel the black skin off first prior to eating it of course.

the girls did this after the makan. aunties-to-be playing the game for aunties. says me.

of course a standard group pic :)

that is one of those random things you could do when you are spending most of your youthtime in a small pekan like Semenyih.

please also note that there wasnt any special celebration or occasion like "done with exams" or something similar, we are currently all stressed up cause piles of workloads have just arrived (or did we just realised them as they are due soon? lols)

ohya, i have actually attempted to post an update on summer vacations back home in msia but halfway through IE crashed and thus all hard work lost, there were almost 40 pics in that entry so i was quite pissed then, but ohwells if i have the time soon ill re-post them.
